Gomez is a prospect not a contender

It's not just Gomez quite a few of the "contender" guys have been unfairly written off as plums cause of the reality tv tag.

you hit the nail righ on the head. it does seem like gomez has been around forever. that why everybody is looking at him like he some jouneyman fighter that all the elite fighters will beat on the way up. gomez needs more fights so he can grow.

he gets praise because of his wife.

gomez isn't supposed to be fighting guys like hatton judah cotto & PBF yet.

Gomez will amount to little IMO. Beating Gatti like that says little. Gatti had little left and went down. It happens often to older fighters. Gatti as full of heart as he was was never a P4P elite at any stage of his career anyways.

Gatti is done. It doesnt make Gomez anything special by a long shot.
