Default The battle for journeyman supremacy Gomez vs Baldomir

Who wins this @ 147? I know Baldy is at 154 now, but assuming he can still make weight. I hope I don't offend anyone by calling Baldomir a journeyman, but come on. I take Baldy on size and experience to win a well earned decision.

You gotta go with Baldomir, he was the Welterweight Champion of the World not too long ago. Gomez is not even ranked in the top 10 yet, but could be if he keeps winning. Him against Chavez Jr. should be a good fight.

Would be a great fight, But Baldomir as long as he doesnt get old has far more experience against the better opposition and usually fairs well. Baldomir by decison.

From what we've seen of both guys, Baldomir seems to be another class all together.

No offense taken. Neither are journeyman. IMO Baldomir has been around for a while & is proven to be more than that. And Gomez hasn't been around long enough or had the cahnce to prove what he will be.

But IF they did fight right now I would take Baldomir. I think it would be a spectator friendly fight.

IMO Baldomir is better then a journeyman....An unknown yes but mainly due to most of his bouts being out of the US......Other then speed he is the complete package

I like the title of thread, definitely one of the more original titles I've read.

I would side with Gomez via UD, a fight that IMO would be fought in a phonebooth like fight from time to time but this would be an advantage for Baldomir. Gomez would need to keep a distance and not let Baldomir get inside, Gomez would have a hard time since Baldomir is physically bigger.

I think a lot of people are selling Gomez short, again I am NOT saying he's the best and hes gonna storm through the WW div. what I am saying is that hes tough as nails and would give for the better part of him a damn! good fight.
