Wow! More and more Pinoy fighters are receiving opportunities to show their talents because of Pac.
Again, 3 pinoy southpaws are fighting in 1 night.
I hope lefties Gonzalez, Maraon, and Pacquiao would win by KO too. Just like Gorres, Banal, and Penalosa did.
PAcquaio was said to be paying his debt of gratitude to Manny Pinol. That's why he is allowing 2 Pinoy boxers (handled by Pinol) to see action with him come October.

the phillippines seem to produce so much southpaws, I wonder why?
Here in the states a southpaw is very rare
MAybe just a coincidence. What makes southpaw better that the right handed?

when i was little I use to play fight in a southpaw stance, because I thought my best hand should be up front so I can use it a lot more. Then when I got older they told me right handers are suppose to have their left hand upfront not the right hand. So since then I avoided the soutpaw stance, but I never felt comfortable as an orthodox boxer. So I went back to southpaw, I felt a lot more comfortable then. So the point is....for me southpaw stance is a lot more comfortable. It just seem to have better angles, I feel like I'm harder to hit and my left is quicker than my right straight. I always thought it was because I have a heavy lazy left hand, which I use less but for a harder punch. My right hand is a lot more active but does not seem as heavy.
What about any of you guys out there, what is your experience or thoughts?

A lot of 'em though are not natural lefty (including Pac).Originally Posted by Julius Rain
Your basically boxing backward.... Im Right handed so i should fight orthodox, but i feel like i could easily throw my right jab at much greater speed but my left just feels wild like i couldnt really get any accuracy with it held back ready to throw it.... but when i do fight orthodox although i dont feel like my left has anything on it....with my right held back i can swing it in and put much more power on it and cause more damage
i suppose theres pro's and cons to fighting the opposite stance to your prefered hand....were you would get a better jab your hooks uppers and such such would have as much on them
were as fight the stance you should be in and you dont have as good a jab but you could get much more into your hooks and such and so forth..
Now i suppose this only applies to anyone starting to box as im sure you eventually just learn to jab properly ......
