Great fun to watch but niether Eubank or Benn were ever at any time the best in the world at either middle or supermiddle which sums the world of boxings splintered titles up.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .

Eubank may have been. We don't know.

He made Watson look average for 6 rounds, looked better against Thornton for 4-6 rounds than Toney or Jones did, dominated Rocchigiani who beat Nunn, looked absolutely brilliant against Wharton, etc. Unfortunately, he never had the desire to seek glory, so we probably don't know how good he really was, Eubank.

Also, his demolition of Denys Cronin was mighty impressive as far as skill, he was by far the coolest man in a building of drunken sheep shaggers yet drew pints of blood from Denys - he was letting off pinpoint, hard counter-punches and combination-punches from little room and with speed. That arrogant uppercut at the start of the third makes Jones Jr's rooster move on Toney and behind-the-back shot against Kelly look ordinary!
