Erm......this IS the hypothetical fights area And Norris used to weigh in aroun 150 for the majority of his time at 154,so I'm pretty sure he could have made the weight...

After Pernell beat McGirt the 2nd time (and Chavez was ducking a rematch with him), there were discussions of a Whitaker vs. Norris fight at a 150 catchweight.

Ok since you put it that way i would choose Whitaker to win by DQ after frustrating the hell out of Norris by making him miss.

would have been one not to miss. however both at their best I would pick Norris ,unlike Trinidad and Delahoya , I think Terry would have been too strong, the guy was super strong, freakishly strong, he always fought at his best weight. . at a catch weight of 150 I would think Norris at some point would find a home for that right hand, but who knows, Whitaker was very slick one of my favorite boxers of all time.

Norris would have the reach advantage and height advantage, something that Whitaker would want in is favor vs an accurate power puncher like Terry Norris.

Agreed but Norris had his demons and i think he would get DQ because Whitaker was very frustrating fighter to fight.

the best way to get at speed is with speed.. Norris had blazing speed. think he would have found the mark ..demon mentality is not all that bad in the ring,, if controlled proper, at his best Norris had a pretty good grip on all that.

Norris I hope would win but if he had to make 147 it may be a bridge too far

I can't see Norris beating Whittaker.

I find it hard to ever pick against PW, as his defensive skills were freakish.

Norris was definitely the stronger man, but PW's slickness would have frustrated the hell out of Norris.

    Whittaker by UD.

I honestly believe Whitaker would win by DQ because Norris would blow his top with not being able to hit Whitaker and there isn't many more frustrating to fight than Whitaker remember Norris had his demons.
