Default 2 of boxing's renowned experts pick kessler over joe

Dan Rafael, espn.com: “…we're picking the Great Dane [Kessler] to pull off the mild upset.”

William Dettloff, The Ring: “…I like Kessler to win. He’s a straight, sharp puncher…”

This is so much like the Lacy fight all over again. I hope at least when joe wins he gets his due and doesn't get shafted by the public labelling Mikkel an overated and overhyped fighter.
"Very few people really understand what it means to be a fighter. I hate it when I hear someone say, 'That fighter doesn't have guts. I hate that, I don't care if you're a world champion six times over or a four-round fighter, to step inside that ring, you have to have guts" Oscar De La Hoya

prob not mate... look at how people rated Lacy before and after the win.

Joe never gets the credit deserved

Joe gave a masterclass against Lacy (there's your credit)

But can you honestly say Lacy has looked good since then? What had he done before that?

Kessler has a much better resume IMO

    Last 5 fights

    1. Librado Andrade 24-0-0 (UD) Kessler defending WBA and WBC - Andrade is undefeated and in the ring's top 10 for 168
    2. Marcus Beyer 34-2-1 (3rd round KO) Kessler defending WBA, Beyer defending WBC - Beyer holds another strap also in the ring's top 10 for 168
    3. Eric Lucas 38-6-3 (10th round TKO) Kessler defending WBA- Lucas was his mandatory
    4. Anthony Mundine 23-2-0 (UD) Kessler defending WBA - Mundine #3 at 168 behind Kessler and Calzaghe in The Ring rankings
    5. Manny Siaca 18-4-0 (8th round TKO) Siaca defending WBA - Siaca in Thr Ring's top 10

    Total 137-14-1

I still think that Calzaghe will take a decision here, but Kessler is worth much more than Lacy on the resume IMO.

Well I really think the only reason Dan Rafael is picking Kess is cause Kess was guest commentating one night on friday nights with him in the studio or some crap like that. Sounds stupid I know but I really think that's the reason.

I personally thought Lacy looked pretty crap against Reid and Pemberton and couldn't imagine the Calzaghe who fought Eubank having a problem with him. I thought Calzaghe at his best would dominate him and anihilate him

I barely give Joe a chance against Kessler. It won't even be very close

Interesting to see how many 'renowned experts' picked Lacy to beat Calzaghe as well.

The problem is that these "renowned experts" are mainly renowned for their hopelessly wrong predictions of forthcoming fights....

As i read the title and then the "experts," in question i just feel the situation necessitate me to mention that Dan Rafael was also the "expert," accredited with the proposal for Pacquiao vs. De la Hoya.

Ring rankings when Kessler fought them

    12-11-04......Manny Siaca..............#2
    08-06-05......Anthony Mundine.......#3
    14-01-06......Eric Lucas..................unranked
    14-10-06......Markus Beyer............#2
    24-03-07......Librado Andrade........#5
    03-11-07......Joe Calzaghe.............#Champion

And Eric Lucas was not Kessler`s mandatory, but alot better than Womanfredo
Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire

I said this before, I'll say it again. The only thing Rafael is expert at when it comes to fighting is late night 12 rounders fighting off indigestion from philly steak sandwiches. That and his daily fight to tie his shoes and zip up his pants. That fat p.o.s. couldn't fight his way up the steps to get in the ring. And if Kessler wins I would call it more than a "mild upset".
