and he said ......the minute he starts winning, the phone stops ringing.

he's purely 'the opponent' and is used as a yardstick to measure the talent of young and inexperienced fighters. if you stop him, your likely to be something pretty special.

he's out on the piss night before he fights usually anyway.

Don't knock Bucklley without guys like him boxing would die in this country,most of his fights are short notice jobs.Yeah he don't win many he goes in there with the house fighter he knows how to keep himself out of trouble up & coming boxers learn a lot from fighting guys like him without any risk.I say good luck Peter & at the end of the day it's his choice

Buckley is a legend. hes the ideal opponent for up and coming boxers and often fights at very short notice.

I don't know to lose 80 straight fights and yet never once get stopped he sounds kind of awesome to me.

We always admire great fighters for their chins when they have to overcome adversity but this guy sounds like his back is to the wall every single fight, and yet he's made it to the final bell 80 times in a row
