Right...so the previous scenario which saw Hopkins say he wanted $3 million four years ago, and then demand $6 million when he was offered what he demanded. This is just a bit of gamesmanship, oneupmanship and revenge getting back in the mix of things.

Doubt they get a Sou more
Theres also TV rights to consider
Hopkins/Wright was a PPV,and then got re-run on HBO,so you get a double dip there
Calzaghe/Kessler was a freebie on HBO and hasnt been re-run
Not to mention him turning down 3 million dollars more then he initially asked for,you think Hopkins doesnt consider that a slap in the face?
This isnt same Danish promoter with a champion nobodies heard of
Nobody who isnt desperate or naive takes Warrens terms
Well even so I mean Joe just Legitimized his stature of being the #1 or #2 168lber EVER, and a reigning 10 year champ. I think he deserves to balk at the offer just for pride if not anything else. I mean if he just took the offer like a tail wagging puppy it would kind of lessen his cause
Look at it from Bernards point of view,he has no earthly reason to take this fight.
He's allready going down as one of the greats
He's allready beaten everyone they said he couldnt
Whats in it for him but $$$?
Hed never agree to the unification tournament
    Dangit
Well hell never get to the final fight
    Dangit
We he cant possibly beat Tito
    Dangit
Well he cant possible go up in weight at his age and beat Tarver
    Dangit
Well Wrights one of the best defensive technicians of all time,no shot
    Dangit
He's offered up more then enough money, hell GB has offered up 3 million more then Joe asked for,Joe doesnt take it thats his problem.
Props to Joe for finally fighting Kessler, but hey made Mikkel jump through hoops to get there.
Bernard isnt big on jumping through hoops
Well Reverend your a trainer so you shouldnt be so naive about the nature of negoiating anything let alone a boxing match. Its all part of the business, its not llike a drive Thru at Mickey D's alot goes into making these big ones happen
I just know Warren well enough that he'll think just because he was able to strong arm Kessler's camp,he'll get away with it again.
Expect Joe to either take another fight at home, and expect to hear a bunch of BS Warren leaks.
But dont expect this fight to happen

Calzaghe should have left Warren like Naz and Hatton did.

Joe and Warren talked the smack
    Joe said he wanted 5
GB threw down the gauntlet by saying,"Fine, you want 5,here's 8"
Joe had no intention of fighting Hopkins and is trying to find a way to squirm out of it,that the British press will buy,and since they are such duitiful servants for Warren, they will report it,just to keep their "inside access"
I wont be suprised to see Jones/Calzaghe though,Roy needs a big fight to put himself on the top of the pile again.Hes desperate enough to let Warren have his way more

Errrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm...not sure I can 100% agree on that one.

Yes...he has been impressive...but I aint sure I can say that I'm more impressed. I'm impressed with Joe & he did well against Kessler & against Lacy & handled those in between...but in the end...he still aint a Hopkins.

Now that being said...I believe that Calzaghe should be considered a GOAT in the end...especially if/when he beats the Nard...& I believe that he will.

So Calzaghe dismisses a fight with both Hopkins and Woods. I'm not surprised. Calzaghe next fight will be against some one along the lines of Silvio Branco or the recently defeated Tito Mendoza. It's what Calzaghe has been doing his whole career.

Face it Hopkins is the name in that fight, and he's offered Joe 3 million dollars more then he asked for,and 2 million more then Hopkins was "reportedly"(the reporters in question being Joe Calzeghe and Frank Warren) asking for,and according to that camp 6 mill was unacceptable.
    Its just Frank Warren BS

    Jones/Calzeghe ever happen
    How about Hopkins/Jones
The only reason Calzeghe/Kessler happened is Kessler's promoter bent over and kissed his own a$$ to make it happen
