Default Paul Williams better get a big fight quick.

Paul Williams can not make 147 much longer, he needs to be hustling to fight either Mayweather, Cotto, etc. It's alot of big fights at WW, at SW their is only Oscar De La Hoya and I doubt that Oscar would take that fight, the Vernon Forrest fight is not that appealing so he needs to be putting on the pressure at WW as of now. I would love a Cotto Vs Williams fight, we would find out alot about each fighter.

Agreed. I would like to see a Margarito/Williams rematch, just to keep them in the spotlight and busy. Though to be fair, Williams does deserve his shot at Cotto. Cintron will be gone for a while, so PW needs to get someone with a name. I think if any fighter is avoided at WW, it's Williams. Mosley/Williams would be a fun fight to watch, and would get PW some more name exposure IMO.

Legion he has been saying that he can easily make 147 but that's the same thing Taylor said at 160 during the Spinks fights, I know in my heart he will be out of the division in a year. I agree with you I would love to see another Margo- Williams fight, it was highly competitive

I sure hope he can stay at 147. You'd think making 147 with that freak frame he would be drained, but look at his output against Tony. A guy having problems making weight wouldn't be able to keep a pace like that for that long. Though, things could change and he will be forced to move up like you said. I'm amazed he ever could make 147, as he is as tall as Pavlik, lol.

Totally agree, this guy is my favorite WW at the moment. I just don't see many people who can hang with him. His punch output is ridiculous and he is just so tall, plus he has a decent inside game so people have a hard time getting effective body shots.

When no one wanted to fight Margarito, he was the one to step up and say I will fight him, I am not scared. The kid showed up like a warrior, I can't remember entirely but I think he lost 10 and 11 and came back in the 12th and won that. Just little things like that you know?? He can take a decent shot too

I think williams is the future of either the welterweight side by side with cotto or he'll move up to 154 and establish a legacy there.

mayweather would never fight him cause a. Hed have to unify title to do that and that isnt something hes known for and b. Williams could probably beat him. Unfortunately for Williams he is the true most feared welterweight out there and with good reason. Maybe Clottey or Urango for now would make sence.

I read earlier this morning that Williams is fighting Quintana

Of course this is coming from BoxRec so I don't know if it is true or not but this should be an interesting fight.

What about MAyorga? He is talking about moving back to 147? Would be a big name on Paul's opponents list.

My comment was tongue in cheek......
Just thought if Mayorga could make 147 it'd be a good money making fight for Williams.
