I don't even think that highly of Katsidis but Casamayor better get his shit together, looked like just about anybody could beat him last time.

I hope this fight is made. I wasn't too happy about that robbery Santa Cruz had against him last fight. But I bet Joel will get up for this fight and show more than he did with SC. I would bet rust and just not really taking SC seriously had Casa looking poor last time, but he'll be ready for this young kat. If he's not he'll get beat real bad. I'd still pick Kats though if it happens, as Casa's best days are over. JMO

This is an interesting bout. If Casamayor is only at the level of his last bout, Katsidis could demolish him, and add a big name to his win list. That'd make a Katsidis v Diaz fight even more interesting, and mean Kats gets more if a cut in the purse.
On the other hand if Casamayor is 80% his old self he oculd give Katsidis a one sided schooling, and line himself up a fight with Baby Bull.
Many questions could be answered......

Casamayor's performance last time was incomprehensibly bad. I thought he was seriously on the downside after watching the Chico fight but even I didn't think he'd look that far gone. I have to assume that yes he's past it but that he was also rusty and could clearly do better than that. Couldn't do worse.

So this is still an intriguing fight, I don't give this past it version of Casamayor any (ok I guess anything's possible but still) chance against Juan Diaz but Katsidis is pretty damn raw. Can Casamayor outbox him over 12 rounds? Casa is tough as hell, always has been, and I think Katsidis' power is overrated but if Katsidis can keep up a high workrate can Casamayor keep up? Can he negate it with movement?

Casamayor was just rusty from being an active for almost a whole year. He'll look better next time. He's still to skilled for Katsidis

It depends on Casamayor. We know what to expect from Katsidis, we don't from Casamayor. This could end up being a hell of a fight. Although that's easy to say when Katsidis is fighting.

This pretty much comes down to why Casamayor looked so shitty in his last fight... If it was really ring rust and he can get it together for this fight, I think he should beat Katsidis... If he is just on the slide and can't do any better then that anymore, he's getting stopped. Still has some intruige in it for me... would much rather see Diaz vs Kats tho.

I would have rather seen Katsidis vs. Diaz. But this'll work. Casamayor will get his ass kicked less he really buckles down and trains hard.
