This is a very sad story on a lengthy confinement of a Japanese "Hurricane Carter" named Iwao Hakamada, who has been in jail for forty-one years though he is apparently not guilty.

Hardly a Rubens Hurricane Carter. The guy knocked Emile Griffith out in the first round.
The guy had never been knocked out before of since, yet Rubens Hurricane Carter got him in round 1.
The guy is arguablly one of the best fighters ever.
The reason for being imprisoned is hardly the same either,
But yeah life can be unfair.
Carter is one of the best fighters ever did i read that right ?? or were you on about Griffith ??Originally Posted by Wasp
You were right the second time.
But it could be said either way, beating Emile Griffith in a 1st round KO and Jimmy Ellis in a split. The guy was a decent fighter at times.
