if ya bought it new, and it is defective, tell them the problem...but i doubt it will totally fall apart anytime soon...your choice...

Don't ever accept faulty gear it's your hard earned money that paid for it.If the hole gets bigger 3 months down the road you will have no come back at all

Yeah, if it is new and you bought it from a store then definetly take it back and exchange it.. Most stores these days are concerned with their reputation and unless you get a really asshole store, they should exchange it without even asking questions....

If you don't think you can take it back though, duct tape is probably okay.. Just put quite a few layers around it about 2 or 3 hands high, i.e. not just the width of the tape, but spread it up and down like you see in the movies... And perhaps mark on the tape where the whole is and try to hang it so your mainly hitting the other side... I don't see it being a problem... You could even get a bike tyre puncture repair kit and stick one of the larger ones over the hole before taping it up... By the time the hole becomes a prolem, if ever, you'll probably have gone through a pair of gloves and would probably want another bag by that stage anyway.. If your still into boxing that is

If you hit anyway hard and that hole is to the bottom or middle of the bag, it will tear quickly, guaranteed
