    Default I'm backing Casamayor

I got Casamayor to beat Katsidis this weekend. Got him at 2.50 on Ladbrokes.

Yes, I know Casamayor was totally shithouse last time out but I just haven't been that impressed with Katsidis. He was staggered against Earl and went life and death with Amonsot.

Am I the only one who thinks Casamayor has a chance of taking Katsidis to school in this one?

I'm usually the last one to be impressed by boxers who rely solely on power. They usually get exposed and made to look like a fool by some slick fighters. If Casamayor isn't slipping down too much, I think he can handle Kats. But that's a big if - naw maybe not that big, if you know what I mean.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

Casamayor is older than Stonehenge...Katsidis should take him. But he needs to show some restraint early on.

Casamayor lost his last fight and got a gift. Unless he's a lot better than he was last time out Katsidis will have too much for him.

Hard to know what to make of Casa's last fight.. If that was really about the best shape he can get himself in these days then Kats has a very good chance to win.. If Casamayor can do better, if that fight helped he shake off some ring rust, he'll have too much skills for Kats. Expect a pretty good fight either way, barring that Casamayor has declined even moreso since Santa Cruz...

Kats has speed, power, and big heart. His face looked like sh1t against Amonsot, but he ended up winning that one by TKO. Casa could get nailed from a one punch imo.

    Katsidis by late round KO.
    ?? He won on points

Casa may lose round after round in this fight cuz he cant compete with Michaels pace . Ofcourse in his prime he would have made mincemeat out of this kid and skooled him easily but at this stage . Joels gonna struggle in there . His best hope is utilising his rough house tactics and cutting the Aussie and hopefully get him stopped on cuts .

All Casamayor's losses have been via points Katsidis will have to do what no-one's done before ...... Casamayor on points

I'll go with the young warrior in this match. Casamayor looked shit last time out.. i had him winning only one or maybe 2 rounds vs a fellow who didn't do all that much either.

I believe that Katsidis will be too strong and action packed for the aging clincher.

The only way i see Joel winning this match is another fix/ gift decision.

It will be interesting to see .

I think I'm going to go with Casamayor. Santa Cruz is actually a very decent boxer with skills, Katsidis has zero skills.

I think Casa knocks him out, even a badly faded Casa.

Joel may have looked piss poor last time out but I still can't see how the bookies have Kats a clear favourite for this one.

He went life and death with Graham Earl for fucks sakes, and thats his biggest win. In fact thats the only opponent hes fought who I ever even heard of!

Casamayor has gone toe toe with the greatest lightweights of the past 10 years, Im amazed the bookies have Kats such a big favourite for this.

In my mind he's going to get starched

I dont understand the hype surrouding Katsidis. He barely got by Amorost and showed in that fight that he can be outboxed and outsmarted. He is strong but his skill is limited. He throws good punches but doesnt know how to put himself in position to throw them especially against a good boxer. Hes a solid basic fighter who hasnt been tested yet and ontop of that he cuts easily. Casa of a few years ago would beat him easily. Now, im not sure, it depends on if he has anything left. I give him little chance against Campbell or Diaz if he wins this one unless hes improved a lot.

The Katsidis-Amonsot fight was prolly the most brutal fight I've seen in decade.

Michael was bleeding in the outside, and Czar was bleeding internally.
