I don't think Hopkins should be in there anymore.

Bilbo your hate for Mijares is getting out of control. I'm not sure why I'm arguing with you about this, but the super flyweight division does not suck. Mijares and Montiel are both very good fighters. Munoz is a good fighter, and when he lost to Castillo that Castillo had not "been done for years." I'm not sure if you even saw it but the Castillo that beat Munoz the first time was in his prime and was a very good fighter. The Castillo of the second fight might have been slightly on the downside but he had shown no signs of that before and was not shot like he was in the Montiel fight. Arce and Vic are overrated (or at least were) but are still solid enough contenders. Well maybe not Arce, he's close to shot. Navarro's a solid fighter, guys like AJ Banal and Gorres are pretty good prospect/contenders.

You can make a case that its one of the better divisions actually, its certainly better than a lot of other ones.
Actually my hate for him is pretty irrational really based on nothing more than irritation at the nuthuggers on here who talk about how slick and sublime he is. As I said before if he got caught dog fighting or battered an ex wife he'd probably win me over but I can't stand to see a fighter get nothing but praise.

I don't dislike anything about Mijares on a personal level though.

It's just Hatton and Haye who grate my shit in that regard.

My contempt for Hatton even now extends to his family members and I rejoiced when his talentless brother lost against Craig Watson at the weekend.

But even Hatton doesn't fuel my anger as much as David Haye. It's almost sadistic how much I want him to suffer in his first fight at heavyweight.

I thought he started a bit slow against Munoz so maybe I didn't think it was quite the masterclass that some did.

He is pretty slick though. Maybe he's got some sort of felony in his background, you never know.

I don't think Mijares should be ahead of Rafael Marquez but completely agree with him being on the list and Hatton being out

Why the hell Mijares is higher than Rafa?
    Brilliant
Mijares is rated higher then Rafa because he's the unified champ and the quality of his opposition in his last fights has been World Class level. Not to mention how he dominated Munoz in his last fight and he hasn't lost since 2002.

For those of you who are criticizing Mijares watch his fights and by that I mean more then just the Arce & Munoz fights.

You know noone's gonna watch man, it's easier to just say he doesn't deserve it. The level and manner of Cristian's wins are going to go by the wayside of the casual fans, just because there isn't much publicity for the weight division as a whole.

About as many times as youve seen a game of football being played

That's like making fun of you for putting something in the "boot" of your car. Or taking the "lift" to your "flat". It's just different speech.

    Correction:

I saw the fight too. It wasn't exactly a "domination" by Mijares at all. Mijares couldn't really hurt Munoz and the fight ended up via SD.

Vazquez didn't really defeat Rafa convincingly.

Rafa should be in #9 spot, and Mijares in #10.

    2 and they were horrible

think 24 rounds of boxing (a good hour and a quarter) is long enough to come up with a brief assessment of a fighters credentials.

Mijares to my knowledge has never been shown on british tv and having lived in the uk all my life i think its fair to say i can be cut some slack on said boxer.

Now as i answered your question in good spirit.......

explain to me the offside rule, leaving no detail unturned...

What does that got to do with it? A real boxing fan finds ways to watch fights. But than your not a boxing fan. Your just a Hatton groupie. That's the difference.
