think 24 rounds of boxing (a good hour and a quarter) is long enough to come up with a brief assessment of a fighters credentials.

Mijares to my knowledge has never been shown on british tv and having lived in the uk all my life i think its fair to say i can be cut some slack on said boxer.

Now as i answered your question in good spirit.......

explain to me the offside rule, leaving no detail unturned...
What does that got to do with it? A real boxing fan finds ways to watch fights. But than your not a boxing fan. Your just a Hatton groupie. That's the difference.

    read it back VD

Ive seen 2 Cristian Mijares fights....he has never been on british television.

you are claiming im not trying hard enough to see his contests from the 3 lines youve read from and still have managed to get it arse over tit.

some people are just utterly beyond help!!!

PS:Is this gonna be the norm for the time im on saddo

boozeboxer, cutmemick and violent demise - at every turning backing each other up and defending one another. Is there such a thing as an online clique, oh god how geeky would that be

`cause if so would it be possible for you guys to avatar-match just to make it that little bit cuter??

perhaps we could even get a little song started just for you 3!!!

Mijares has fought 40 times! Yet all you seen are 2? And your bad mouthing him? Your a disgrace of a boxing fan. In fact your not even a boxing fan. Why don't you take your ass to the gay ass Hatton forum. It's where you fucking belong anyway. It seems that's all you talk about.

Why the hell Mijares is higher than Rafa?
    Brilliant
Mijares is rated higher then Rafa because he's the unified champ and the quality of his opposition in his last fights has been World Class level. Not to mention how he dominated Munoz in his last fight and he hasn't lost since 2002.

For those of you who are criticizing Mijares watch his fights and by that I mean more then just the Arce & Munoz fights.
    Correction:

I saw the fight too. It wasn't exactly a "domination" by Mijares at all. Mijares couldn't really hurt Munoz and the fight ended up via SD.

Vazquez didn't really defeat Rafa convincingly.

Rafa should be in #9 spot, and Mijares in #10.
The majority of people that I talked to thought it was a dominant performance.
    Deanrw, youngblood, Spicoli and myself.
I think Galaxy also thought it was all Mijares.
That aside because it's subjective and I can see how you think that it was not a dominant performance.

    I want to correct you...

Correction: Mijares DID hurt Munoz. He hurt him 3 times in the fight twice with a looping left hook and once with straight right.

One judge had it 115-113 for Munoz unless you agree with that you and I and everyone whos seen the fight know that there is NO possible way Munoz won that fight. Never the less by 2 points and let's keep in mind he had 1 point deducted.

Izzy convinced me that he beat Rafa, he convinced me in the rematch that he could beat him no matter how many times they fought. Rafas one of my fav. and if you see the predictions on fight #3 I said I was rooting for Rafa but knew Izzy would win. (Several people here even PM me on how I could predict a Rafa win in the prediction competition but yet still know that Izzy would win)

To my knowledge Edwin Valeros NEVER been on American TV but I've seen and have all of his fights.
    So what's the problem?

The point here is your talking about a fighter whom you've only seen 2 fights of and trying to discredit him.

Now guess what if you would have seen more of his fights and you still feel that way then OK. It's your opinion and that's fine. But how can you comment on a fighter who you virtually know nothing of and what you do know is from 2 fights. I mean seriously...

And so you know we can talk soccer all you want in the hidden boards not here since this is the boxing talk forum.

We have different opinions obviously. Domination for me is a one-sided beating, which I didn't see that at all.

A draw would've been more appropriate in Rafa-Izzy 3. Ref Pat Russel even acknowledged his mistake with the low blow.

That's what I said, dominance can be subjective.
But there is NO doubt in my mind that he beat Munoz and he hurt Munoz in the fight.

The key factor in Izzy-Rafa is the left hook. So as long as Izzy throws it and lands Rafa can't take that shot. I think those 2 can fight 5 more times and Izzy would win 5 times. (Keep in mind I'm a Rafa fan)

    Was Hatton ranked 8?

I can understand how they bumped Mijares into the top 10 after his win but can't work out how they decided all of a sudden Marquez deserves a place above Hatton.

Hatton won his gimme fight as expected. So why the wait to add Marquez?

Rep for anyone that can solve this for me.

Mijares deserves P4P based on the fine list of opponents he's beaten. How the heck B Hop is top 5 is the question we should be asking. And why the heck is Calderon not there. Other than that, not a bad list.Cotto moves up BIGTIME if he beats Margarito and looks good.

    ahhh nice one, Mick.

I thought they updated it quite regular.

So they already had decided to add Marquez, and in recent times Mijares overtook both of them.

    (or something like that )
