Default Derrick Gainer turns down Khan!

Gainer has turned it down cause there is a clash of dates. article at Sky Sports | Boxing | News | Gainer turns down Khan

Seem Frank Warren still doesnt want to put Khan in with any1 to dangerous.Gainer is well past his prime he's 35. He should be put in with fighters that still have ambition and are at least in the top 10 in the world.

It's bloody stupid. I don't expect him to be thrown in with the likes of Pac/Nate/Casa, but their are a number of logical opponents for him to bridge the gap of his past oppostion such as Murray or the Euro champ, Khan is a big enough draw to make an offer to those guys that neither can refuse.

With the crap hes been fed when he does step up he will find the gap huge.

I have a sneaky feeling that Khan will move to 140 before he fights at Lightweight.

    Its too stacked.

i heard the fight was about to be made , until Warren realized Gainer was still able bodied .
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .

Ha ha exactly! To be honest I expected worse, Gainer was actually an improvement on some of the fighters I thought he'd be trying around, it is warren after all.

His last two fight he won a close SD against two bums. If he faught Khan it would be a total mismatch.

Khan needs a real fighter, fucks sake.

Khan should go after David Diaz this year, or early next. He has proved he cant handle speed, but is atleast durable. Would be a good test for Amir.

Can't believe this. I mean really, Derrick Gainer.
I see the name and yeah theres history there but it holds no ground today. I actually see this as a step backwards for Khan.

    I wouldn't call Carlos Navarro a bum.
He ain't world class either but not a bum.
He's Jose Navarros (Super Fly) older bro.

He was decent early in his career had some good wins but then just fell off.

Anyway what I wanted to mention was that one of the worst robberys I've ever seen possibly #4 in my all time is Gainer vs. Navarro. I mean this was a robbery in broad day light the announcers were disgusted and so was Navarro as he dropped in his corner in disbelieve when the scores were announced Gainer himself left the ring and did not want to be interviewed. It was that bad.

The headline shoulb Be "Khan camp actually ponders a Gainer match"....And then add a big WTF . Gainer is done and would be smart to take the descent profile, Goodpay fight Imo.

Mick, good call on Raheem Gainers 'W' over Navarro.Navarro was a warrior.I know it may be unfair and he was pretty done but what was up with Navarro insisting on being counted out vs. Bobby pac. That was surreal.

The count out was one of those where you just couldn't believe your eyes...

His level of competition is embarassing.

Carl Froch actually has an excuse for his level of competition, nobody wants to fight him where Khan is in one of the best stacked divisions in boxing and warren picked derrick fucking gainer.......what a joke.
