Thanks man! The forum was great. Gonna learn from you guys.
I'm surprise Margarito has ever loss a fight.
IS very easy to fight when you have a chin like that. he just train to throw punches at will with no technicality at all, until he can no more, because no one will ever hurt him.

Seanie ur full of shit dude, both put it on the line and Cotto showed awesome boxing ability early in the fight, and showed plenty of will, guts, and heart for the rest of the fight, the fight was a draw going into the 11th, stop downplaying the losers effort in order to cheapen Margarito's win
Nah, it was a good fight and Tony had him. It was a love tap anyway. I am glad it was not Joe Cortez up there. It was a clean fight, I hope no one decides to argue this rule and then come back 2 weeks later and disqualify Tony. Both fighters were pretty clean and Tony won. End of.
This is why boxing is more brutal than MMA imo...
I guess you are right, In MMA you take your likings and you are out of there in no time. Not as many repeated hard punches like in boxing.
Also in MMA you don't always have to win by knock out, you can make a man tap and that is not as bad as being knocked out.
I hate to say it but I like this gif
Cotto could have taken a dive and quit after that extra punch he took from Tony when he took the knee and walk out the ring undefeated. Many fighters have done that like Santana against Norris (twice, can you believe it?!) and so on.
The ref didn't jump in. It's not his fault that cotto was hesitant in putting his knees down. It looked like he faked to put a knee down then was about to get up. Margarito didn't know whether he was going to put the knee down so he threw until cotto did put that knee down. It's not margarito's fault cotto hesitated and jerked his knee up and down.
