Default Flexibility will help improve speed

I'm sure everyone knows that flexiblity will greatly help improve speed, but I thought I'd tell this in case someone hasn't been stretching lately.

I haven't shadowboxed or punched the bag much in the past couple of weeks (I work those 10 hour days, so I don't have as much energy when I get off, because I go to lift weights, then have to drive all the way home), but I have been stretching my arms and shoulders every day. I'm not sure what you call them, but I touch my left shoulder with my right hand, I put my right forearm behind my head (elbow goes up above my head), then vice vs. on the other side. It stretches both my shoulder muscles and my tricep muscles. Also I'll stretch my arm across my chest to help stretch my chest muscles. And from just stretching ALONE, the speed of my punches went up greatly, even though I haven't done much shadowboxing lately or anything.

And I don't mean just stretching before, during, or right after a workout. Stretch throughout the day whenever you can, take about 30 seconds for each side, then repeat with the other side, and it should help.

Clubber start stretching the whole Body, then see how fast you become.

Your power and speed come from your whole body, not just your arms and shoulders.
By being flexible,I have to explain.
You unconsciously will hold back if your tight, even if the conscious mind says go,part of your brain will hold it back for fear of tearing something.
Thats part of why you worry when you see a fighter go dry in to the ring,if he's dry,he's not hydrated. Not being hydrated leads to cramps and tears. ANd even if the mind is saying that it doesnt matter, the body is saying to your sub-conscious that, yes it does.

All movement is memory, your memory is in Neurons. Bad memory bad action, the Neurons get a Healthy memory by correct stretch. Go through the body completely it works all or nothing the body so stretch everything.

To add on,your mind is conditioned to protect the body, and making a tight muscle fire,is abhorrent to your subconscious survival instinct, your mind knows the muscle might tear, leaving you unable to defend yourself. So it wont let you do it the way you want to.
I dont think there's anybody whose sparred or fought that didnt have a moment where "There it is" but they hadnt stretched and hydrated properly and had their own body and sub-conscious collude against them, and just couldnt get the shot off.
When I get a chance,Ill post up a series of stretch pics
