    ok i gotta apologise first after slagging off CGI & avatar!

    was me birthday monday so me wife took me cinema & there wasnt really anything on so we decided to watch avatar in 3D, & we both enjoyed it! prob the first time since the original star wars films that i felt i was in a different world i would recommend it to anyone who wants to get outta some home reality.

    also watched michael moores new film capatilism: a love story, thought this was pretty good & i have enjoyed his last 3 films, i understand he does over the top abit but it paints a disturbing picture of america just like his previous films.

    The Firm (the footy hooligan remake)

    Hilariously funny (not supposed to be) just for the stereotypes - shit film really, but enjoyed it

    He BLATANTLY lies in his movies to get his OPINION across so I think that calling them "documentaries" does a disservice to people who actually make factual documentaries instead of skewing what happened until it fits their radical political view.

    I watched Miller's Crossing, great film

    I just got done watching Humphrey Bogart's last film "The Harder They Fall" on TCM. It's a boxing movie and it was pretty decent, it's basically the true life story of anyone that has been "built up" when the people on the inside knew all along the guy being built up was a bum. But in this case it's pretty much about Primo Carnera, the fighter being built up is Toro Moreno and his nickname is "The Wild Man of The Andes" (Primo's nickname was "The Ambling Alp" they both are in reference to mountains)and he's really tall and in the end Max Baer(of course he's playing a character bu it's odd that it's still Max Baer) beats the shit out of him. Also there is another boxer in this film Jersey Joe Walcott, he plays kind of a trainer/sparring partner type role but it's a big role and he did well.

    I suggest you guys see this film, it's pretty decent, it also has Rod Stieger as the bad guy

    Alice in Wonderland. Was not bad at all, beautiful visually and filled with madness, a good compromise for kids and adults even if it doesn't follow the lead of the book.

    Watched some movies yesterday that i enjoyed;

    The 4th Kind - Good if ya like alien abduction, suspense, thrillers !

    Maiden Hiest - Easy to watch and good fun to boot ! - Christopher Walken, Morgan Freeman

    Sherlock Holmes - Robert Downey Jnr pulls it off very well. And probs the best film Guy Richie has done sine Snatch !

    All 3 well worth a viewing

    ...documentaries are supposed to be based in reality and be factual

    Ken Burns makes documentaries....Michael Moore makes opinionated films

    i watched a film called 'old dogs' with john travolta & robin williams in, its alot better than i thought it would be, a good family film

    Watched 2012 yesterday and I was not big on it. It just seemed to be drawn out for a very long time and there is only so much you can watch of CGI earthquakes and tsunamis.
