According to this statement, Alex Arthur has apparently been offered the victor of Khan-Barrera

I can't see how this is true, because for whoever wins it would be a step backwards. If Khan wins, he has just beaten an undisputed ATG & 1st ballot HoFer, so cannot see why he should have to fight a faded Super-Featherweight, the profile of beating MAB would surely propel him towards a title shot with someone like Campbell or at least a fight with a guy like Katsidis. Conversely if MAB wins than surely his profile will mean he gets an automatic title shot against either Campbell or the Marquez/Diaz winner. I can only see Arthur getting to fight the loser, and even then I see him getting beat & beat easy by either.

Arthur hasnt even boxed yet at 135 and the winner of this will have far bigger fish to fry than alex arthur
