Anyone reckon this has the potential to end up as fight of the year 2009??

2 guys in their prime knocking the crap out of eachother for 11 pulsating rounds.

7 knockdowns - 1 guy ends up flat out on the canvas completely drained and beaten while the other has to be lifted up onto other peoples shoulders just so he can manage to salute the fans.

Personally i thought Dunne would get starched inside 8.

Definetly a contender for the fight of the year, either fighter could have gone down at the end it was whoever landed the cleanest punch. Still think Diaz/JMM fight takes fight of the year at the moment though.

It would have my vote for fight of the year, im a big fan of Dunne, thought it was a excellent fight, alot of people had written Dunne off before this fight, but he gave an excellent performance.

JMM/Diaz still has it for me, great back and forth action, record breaking output by both guys, and it was at the highest level of the sport.

Dunne/Cordoba is definately number two though right behind it, that was a great fight. Great action, really shocked at how much heart Dunne showed.

Hope 2009 can continue to have great fights.

I've got JMM-Diaz as #1 but not by much...

Cordoba-Dunne follows and then Berto-Collazo also Rodriguez-Alvarez deserves a mention and so does DeMarco-Raymkulov.
