Default Evangelista Cotto suing Miguel for $7.5 million

This is his brothers son, his nephew, and he's going to pull this $hit, just before possibly the biggest fight of his career to date. I guess family doesn't mean $hit to him.

He starts the fight, yet he's suing Miguel for it. Fuk, if I was Miguel I would counter sue.

Just what Miguel needs, another fuking distraction before a fight.

Haha, I think I'll go out attack someone & smash up their car, then I can sue them

Looking at it though he's suing for a breach of contract over not being paid what was in that contract. If it was written down & Cotto didn't up his pay, then I can see why Evangelista would sue. Maybe he wants to buy Cotto a new Jaguar with some of the money

in Evangelista's defense Cotto fucked him all up, breaking ribs and everything, and well as everyone on here should know it's illegal for a licensed fighter to physically attack anyone, cause corny as it might sound, you're trained to use your hands as weapons and they're considered weapons

that's the thing there are people in the gym that say that Miguel was in fact the one who started the physical confrontation, and i think it'd depend on the circumstances, i'm pretty sure when a 50 something year old man who's a lot weaker than you, is supposingly attacking you unarmed well it'd apply, other than that i dunno

I don't condone a nephew hitting his uncle, but that being said... Evangelista has always looked like a big jerk to me. Miguel should've fired his ass a long time ago. Now, like Diane says, he pulls this shet with horrible timing. What a dope!

IMO it's pretty evident in some of Miguel's earlier wins that Evangelista actually cares for his nephew, plenty of emotional moments in the ring but on the flip side i think that their personalities just simply don't mesh well, both Miguel and Jose are stubborn and serious, same thing applies with Evangelista, and well when no one wants to budge, there's bound to be a problem, there's no excuse for what happened that day, on either ones part, both were very much in the wrong, but like i said, Miguel is the professional fighter, and should have tried to keep his cool before letting his hands go on his uncle, even though i don't agree with the lawsuit, can't really blame him

Yeah, I think both screwed up... but I've seen Evangelista have problems also with Miguel's brother José, also a boxer. My question is... where the hell is the boxers' dad during all this? He certainly should have a firmer hand in the proceedings. I mean, if my sons were punching my brother and viceversa, I'm pretty sure I'd have something to say about it. Anyway, I'm probably pretty biased toward Miguel... but in actuality there's plenty of blame to go around on both sides.
