The Diamond Belt!

There are too many belts already. I was hoping the WBA would be the only organization who chose to add more letters to the alphabet, but now the WBC had to add to the already confusing world title scene. The IBF and The Ring are becoming the only belts that hold weight with me anymore.

I don't give the IBF that much credit (see their stripping of Clottey & Malignaggi for not offering 10% sanctioning fees). The Ring it is then.

How much did they want to charge to sanction Cotto/ Pacqiao? Leaps & bounds for their on pockets! Who have Erdie & Narvaez fought that was even close to a top contender? Zbik the #1 contender at 160? I still can't stand them!

But I'm with you about The Ring, represents the real champions!

A fucking joke. When you think boxing might somewhat striaightening out they put this meaningless belt out there. The Diamond belt was an amatuer tournament belt at one point was it not? I believe it started in New York.

This belt is ludicrous, I wonder what's next to make more money, more intermediary champion? a Brand new platinum belt no matter what means platinum in that case?
