Default PBF V Paul Williams at 154

This is a fight that would really interest me and would be probably the first time that I wasn't sure (or at least pretty sure) that Floyd would win

Your asking a bit much here, Floyd would be challenging himself, are you mad?

I agree. this, not Pac, is the most interesting match up. Williams has a discernible height, reach, and power advantage... but PBF is one of the greatest technicians of all time. classic style match up.

Williams can be outboxed but he can out busy any fighter out there, throwing a remarkable quantity of punches. he can both crowd pbf and outwork him or fight him from a distance where he has the reach advantage.

and frankly since being outboxed by quintana he's adjusted. his domination of winky wright, a defense-first fighter like PBF who is notoriously difficult to look good against, and thus is often dodged, was one of the most underappreciated accomplishment in recent boxing history.

very challenging fight for PBF, IMO.

Never going to happen.... Mayweather won't risk a matchup he can lose.

Would be nice swerve.Dont see Williams going to 147.Should Williams take Pavlik they can hash out a catchweight range.Wonder if Paul will opt to make that weight.Don't think Mayweather wants any of that.

Too risky for Mayweather so right off it won't happen because it would be a challenge that he would need to work for and actually put it on the line.

Williams puch rate would put him in a position where he would make Mayweather make mistake or force him to stand it out.Plus Williams might actually be able to handle the weight, making it a fair and even fight !!

make it at 147 so there are no excuses. Floyd beat oscar at 154 and people still act like PAC was the first person to ever beat the guy. Screw mosely floyd would slap him around and everyone would just say so what. People are already crying bout the weight of the juan fight so why should floyd fight PAC a guy who still to this day don't even really want to mess with marquez anymore and we saw what floyd did to him. Outside of williams I really don't wanna watch floyd beat up anymore would be floyd "beaters" that people just gonna discredit after anyway. Williams or nothing I say.

I'm with you on that. Everybody but a Williams victory will get some kind of discredit when PBF wins. Even though many favored the opponent to win before the fight it will be just like when PBF beat Hatton and DLH. Mosley would be too old, Pac too small, Cotto shop worn, etc...Plus, I think Williams is the only who can beat PBF but it does have to be a 147. And at least PBF would get the credit of facing the Williams welterweight terror when the other big names thought it was too risky for their namesake. I just wish one of the stars at welterweight would just step up to Williams. I never seen in all my years a possible #1 fighter get blackballed to this extreme by a weight class.

Even if he beat WIlliams, people would downplay it and say Quintana "exposed" Williams and laid the blueprint down to beat him.

Agreed - Beating Williams and Mosely would be the 2 most impressive victories he could have imo

This fight will NEVER happen. If it does Paul Williams wins a decision at 154.
