    Default Pac/Cotto PPV Buys?

If I heard correctly, Lampley mentioned PBF vs Marquez doing over 1 million buys and Pacquiao vs Cotto beating that number. I was extremely smashed at that point and if anyone could enlighten me, I want to make sure I wasn't hearing things.

If anyone has the official numbers, please post them up. I don't know why but PPV buys in big fights fascinate me.

id be suprised if it did bigger numbers to be honest,

neither is american, and neither is as big a name as mayweather in the u.s, mayweather was coming out of retirment which had a lot of hype around it

also im pretty sure that mayweather - marquez was a cheaper price on ppv, pac has his own little sites that were offering out a large number of free streams

and on top of all this the 24/7 really went without major incident, there wasnt really any trash talk and alot of people said it was boring

You heard correctly when Lampley said that. I even read on ESPN that it could even rival the 1.4 million buys of Trinidad-Delahoya. I would be surprised if it's not north of 1 million buys.

The numbers are not in yet, but that satellite pre-orders were so high that they are projecting that it will crush Mayweather vs JMM's numbers.

Maybe it's because of the area I live in but I'd definitely say more people get buzzing about Pacquiao then Mauweather these days.

You are right, PBF-JMM PPV was cheaper and priced at $49.95 while Pacquiao-Cotto was priced at $54.95. Pacquiao-Cotto PPV numbers needs only about 909,000 buys to match the gross earnings of PBF-JMM 1 million PPV buys.

I've been looking at the media coverage of this fight and it's just tremendous. I mean 100 times more outside of the normal boxing media coverage than Mayweather / Marquez.
