Default Does anyone rely solely on the internet to watch tv?

I'm thinking of getting rid of my cable, but I was wondering how easily I can use the internet to watch the programs over the internet (as they are being shown on TV, not after the fact) I would have watched on TV.

Also, is there any way to get better graphic quality on the streams or is that wholly dependent on the person doing the streaming?

You can get TV on demand on cable here, watch all the episodes of your best programmes one after the other.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

I think Bilbo is your man for this one...

I still watch a darn lot of free to air television, but all the tv series that I really like I just download a day or 2 after they air... It's getting easier to find like 80mb downloads for 30 minute shows as opposed to the usual 250-350mb which has been the norm...

It's a lot because I hate the amount of advertising on all my main shows, and most stuff airs here on average about 4 months after it airs in the US, so I can't help myself...

I do like sitting back and watching tv after a hard day at work,,, but if I got busy with other stuff, I could certainly see myself giving up tv all together and just downloading the stuff I like...

I can see even more benefit to give it up if you actually have to pay for cable.
