    Default Mayweather/Mosley May 1st possibly

Mayweather vs Mosley on May 1 in Las Vegas? - Boxing News

If Mosley wins, seems like it is a go. I am game for it.

The obvious question now is will PBF demand Shane has the random drug tests, and will Mosely agree to them. Much bigger fight than Pac-Clottey anyway.

Right that is the question. I bet he will. He has to in a way. At least we are all in agreement this is the only fight Mayweather should make. All the other fights really don't make sense for one reason or the other.

If Floyd takes this it would prove a lot to me and a win would be his biggest.

I think Floyd should take a warm up fight before the fight with the winner of Mosley/Berto.

oh hell no. i think taking on the winner of mosley-berto(ideally mosley) would be a very good move for mayweather. although i'm not sure if mosley is still in his prime, let's see on jan 30

I disagree, I think he should jump in and take this ASAP. He is now involved in a one-up battle against Pacquiao at this point, whomever makes the bigger statement gets the glory since they are not fighting each other. He looked very sharp against Marquez (who admittedly was too small) but size aside Mayweather had the biggest +/- over Marquez in the history of compubox.

The statements he could make at this point are

    1) I can still make 140 and fight the lightest puncher of the division (Malignaggi)

    2) I'm going to make a warm-up against _________ insert fringe 147 contender here.

    3) I'm going to fight the man at 147.

Maweather is not going fight Mosley until he starts acting like the ooold man he is in the ring.

More likly he'd fight with Malignaggi or Campbell, who are both smaller than Mayweather.

One thing for sure: As much as I dislike him, if Mayweather fights MOseley, I'll have a load more respect for him for accepting the challenge.

I like the Mosley fight. Shane has savvy to make Floyd think, he also has the size to back his skills. I love watching two technically gifted boxing brains play out the chess match. I think Mosley is as good as any opponent out there for Floyd. And although Shane has probably seen better days, he is still a force, and has the tools to test Mayweather in many areas.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.

Take a warm up fight as he hasnt been in the ring since september and fight Mosley in may i dont see there is a problem if he does that as long as it is Mosley he fights.

ohhh. God knows what kind of testing and procedures and negotiations would mayweather ask for now knowing that Shane admitted to taking steroids. He could have made that fight when Shane came up to the ring and issued the challenge. i dunno about you guys but that "showing" of mosley and bhop was a big blow to moneys image.

Nowhere near the blow Mannys image took refusing blood tests..... How will Manny look if PBF wants Shane to take the tests and he does? A known drug taker would be upstaging Manny.
