Man this is a great game.
Man this is a great game.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
4-1! Great fucking couple of shifts from Canada.
I have been fully sucked into this patriotic bullshit
I didn't see the Russian goal, Canada was blitzing them though. Russia just looked out of sorts, again don't know much about hockey but that third goal looked too easy.
and now its 4-1
Russia is going to go to the check to decapitate mode in the 2nd.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
What do you think of the game so far Killer?
Russia can't match Canada's physical game and they shouldn't try. Obviously, take the hit if you can get it (like Canada did in the 1st), but if they start running around head-hunting Canada will make them pay. The Russians just need to get their offense in gear, when they were able to gain the Canadian zone they looked very dangerous.
Canada looks good. Would be tough to beat them twice. Still, four goals? Shouldn't Russia be doing better than that? They look wide open and can't get anything going.
I may start watching the NHL, the US-Canada game was one of the most intense sports games I've seen in any sport. I need to find a team though, who are some of the more exciting teams in the NHL CFH? I don't want to be a Pittsburgh fan and I don't want to be a fan of some boring team.
Russia's defense appeared to be a weak spot from the very beginning. That and a surprisingly lackluster powerplay have meant a tough tournament for them so far. However, with their offense it wouldn't surprise me to see them get right back in it in the second. I won't relax until the game is over.
I'm a HUGE Canucks fan (Luongo's team), but I would say the most exciting teams in the league are probably the Chicago Blackhawks (who I hate and who also have the best jersey in all sports. Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, Patrick Kane play for them), the Washington Capitals (Ovetchkin and Semin's team), and maybe the San Jose Sharks (Thornton, Marleu, Heatley, Boyle, Nabakov). I'll try to think of some more.
Just don't cheer for the Oilers or Flames. I urge you to hate them as much as I do.
I like the Kesler guy that plays for Vancouver more than Kane. Granted I've only seen him twice but from what I've heard he's one of the more hyped guys on our team and he doesn't seem to do much
I've actually been wondering about this, with so many teams in America and yet so many of the fans from Canada are there a bunch of Canadians that follow American teams (granted not with American players mostly) or do they stick with the 5 or 6 Canadian teams?
