Yeah it was a stagger: Mayorga may have got lucky there, a hit to where the Aorta and Jugular cross over in the side of the neck can get you dizzy fast.Oh, I like Mayorga and if he had been active and taking his career serious I think hed have had more stamina and would have beaten Shane but as it is he is happy with his positition of taking decent money fights as an opponent based on past form and his notoriety, like Mike Tyson did.An in shape Mayorga is still much more than a gatekeeper.
Mayorga does what he does, theres nothing shocking to us but surely Thomas would know not to try and get in his face and then have to stumble around like an old drunk after a half hearted back hand.
Wouldnt it be embarrasing now for Din Thomas to get an overweight, out of shape, past his best, unactive, old gatekeeper of a boxer that can splatter him with ease
I mean, Thomas is the one whos supposed to be better equiped to deal with these situations, i.e. street fighting but he just never expected it and wobbled like a biitch
Its a shame Mayorga isnt fit because I still dont see him winning, although I am expecting to see something good from him
Mayorga did a whole hell of a lot better against Mosley than the welterweight champion Antonio Margarito did.
And he would have gone the distance and lost a split decision if the neutral corner rule had been enforced with Mosley.
Anyway it looked to me like Din Thomas faked being woblled cus just Mayorga's fingers hit him, so either Thomas faked it (in order to goad people into buying the fight thinking that if Mayorga can wobble him with a slap then he can surely KO him with a punch) OR Thomas tripped over one of his big fat black guys in his entourage.
I dont think Din Thomas was faking, he hates the fact most people think a boxer can beat an mma fighter, he wouldnt have wanted anyone to see that but he was deffinitly hurt by it, you dont stumble around like that for nothing
