I left my notebook at my girls house yesterday and I don't have SopCast on my home PC.

Feel free to let us know how it's going.

My card was 114-113 Don Ion, so I can't call robbery. But I can't see Aydin leaving Turkey unless he can bring the ref with him. He was hitting on the break, even around the ref when he was breaking them up. He would lean his body weight down on Don Ion's neck and hit the back and body. It was pretty ugly. The ref warned Don Ion for landing an uppercut even. On a level playing field I think Don Ion schools Aydin 9 times out of 10.

In the end it was that BS knockdown that changed things then huh? Otherwise it would have been an MD right?

    Yeah, if either

    A ) That first knockdown didn't count

    or

B ) Don Ion's knockdown would have counted

    we would have a draw
    111-117, 114-114, 114-114

Jojo Dan lost Quite a bummer for Interbox, I like that guy, quite a nice fellow with a good outside ring reputation actually.

Hmm...I had high hopes for Aydin being from Turkey (my roots) but he always had this wierd way of fighting journeymen that would NEVER work when he took a step up in class.

A really wierd stalking style..no movement..no jab..nothing. Then all of a sudden he'd just unleash a flurry of the hardest punches he can muster..then back into his shell.

He might have thrown like 20 punches a round.

I just remember watching him against Lucky Lewele for the international title I believe it was, and he just looked crappy..Not sure what he's like now.

Did he use his jab a bit more in this fight? What was his defence like? How would you summarise his style?

I would describe him as Arthur Abraham with less power and shorter arms. Honestly he had a lot of help from the ref. I was surprised with JoJo Don he had a pretty good work rate and kept Aydin away for the most part with a steady rain of 1-2s. Back to Aydin he really hasn't changed at all, I think he's in a tough spot because 147 is loaded with people that could pick him apart, if he goes down to 140 it's also loaded with people that could pick him apart and if he goes up to 154 he would be absolutely tiny. As to the jab question, I think he probably throw 10 the whole fight, I don't remember any of them landing.
