Default Jones vs. Soto-Karass what's your verdict?

So how did you score the fight?
Or even if you didn't score it round by round what did you think of the outcome?

I had Soto-Karass wining it by 2 rounds. (6 rounds to 4 for Soto)
I thought Soto was the aggressive fighter the one looking for the fight and the one dictating the rounds.
Jones fought going backwards and on the defensive side in a handful of rounds.
He looked gassed and tired through the whole fight after the early onslaught.

I'm not crying out a robbery because I can see how some people will see some rounds being close. But for me when you break down each round and pay attention to the things I mentioned above Soto takes the fight.

Through the haze I believe I had Soto Karass by 3,4 points. One word....body-language. Jones could not sustain attack and was sloppy. Soto-Karass's face was falling apart but his attack and tempo made the fight. Personally I think he was a bit shafted vs Gomez as he was coming on and Gomez opted out. Helluva entertaining fighter and hope he gets another tv date....how about a rematch?

Yeah didn't do a round by round but 6-4 for karass sounds about right,, but knew he wasn't getting the decision. Rematch jones I think takes him, he just fucked himself in the second round, he went all out and was tiered for pretty much the rest of the fight but got a gift so he better learn from the experience.

I just couldn't believe how tired Jones got after throwing so many punches in the 2nd. it was a good fight though.

I had Jones by a point as I scored the 2nd round a 10-8 round because I felt the ropes were all that was keeping JSK up. It was close though & I can see a win either way. I've got to say that the 97-93 scorecard was a disgrace imo. I also think this fight stands Jones in good stead & might just be the making of him, as I was unconvinced by him previously. I also agree with Spicoli about the Gomez fight, he definitely found a way out with JSK coming on.

Well I have a full rbr with my logic on there on the super thread. I put less emphasis on body language and more on clean effective punching. I had Jones ahead by quite a bit 97-93 some may call it a disgrace, and I can certainly understand scoring it for Karass. BUT Jones was still outlanding and cutting up Karass's face even while he was exhausted.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Again I am probably being about tainted but I had Jones ahead at the end of the day. If you go by points I can't see how you couldn't score the second round 10-8 for Jones. I didn't keep rounds I was a bit nervous for Mike in the mid drift. By about the eight or ninth I had Jones taking the fight back over.

    Terrible decision.

A rematch wouldnt suffice because Jones just wouldnt punch himself out and would win next time but the damage has been done. Karass won that fight and it is a massive injustice. Hope Kell smashes that Yank.

I had Jones winning 6 rounds to 4. Just because a fighter is coming forward doesn't mean they are winning the fight.

This is ridiculous because Jones was so much better, but in the second round he punched himself out, that is the only reason it was close. The first two rounds he was completely dominating Soto-Karass, then he throw a punch of arm punches when he got him hurt and he had nothing left for nearly the entire fight. I think it was just the magnitude of the moment and him being a young fighter, but he looked really impressive those two first rounds, and really fast. I was more impressed by his speed than anyone else's that night.

I didn't score it round by round but I did watch it in slow motion and Jones was way faster.

Had the first two rounds to Jones. The next 5 to Soto Karass. Last 3 were pretty close for me though. But I still favored Soto Karass at the end. Not saying it's an outright robbery though. Also, I'm pretty satisfied gayle van hoy didn't fuxxed it up with his scoring. A rematch would be proper but I would still favor Jones if that happens. More so after hopefully learning an important lesson in the second round.
