How the fuck do you get a score of 117-113?

The fact that two judges both scored it 117-113 makes me think there was a bit of home-cooking going on. Maybe they were scoring round even when it looked like Povetkin might not win the fight. I dunno.

And Holyfield can fuck right off, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Povetkin fight him next.

yeah, im glad there was no controversy in this one since the right guy won. And its funny how they made this a championship fight . Wlad is the WBA super champion and Povetkin is just a regular champion. In all honesty , I dont consider Povetkin a champ at all.

Helenius is looking sharp out there.

update- well, i think i said it too early. His jab isn't too good but he does have a strong right hand. needs to work on his D . This could be a good fight

Sorry, i've been on the phone with Dell trying to get a computer fixed.

I take it I didn't miss much in the Povetkin vs. Chagaev fight.

Helenius vs. Liakhovich just starting, i'm off the phone with Dell.

I've never minded listening to Lennox Lewis, I think HBO fucked up letting him go.

Not much in round 1, Helenius is a big mo-fo.

Late night for the German fans. Ended up going to watch MOTD rather than watch heavyweight boxing, especially after seeing the first part of Povetkin-Chagaev. The best description is a word that rhymes with boozer.

9th round KO for Helenius, not a bad 'W' for Helenius, he's a big guy with heavy hands, who has a future at HW.

Not impressed at all by Povetkin, Teddy is not going to be able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, no matter how much he tries to motivate this chump.

The main event was a good and competitive fight. Chag threw the most powerful shots, but Pov let his hands go more and won more rounds obviously, so the decision was fair in my opinion. Pov continues with the same negative things as before: coming in the most important fight ever the heaviest in his career, so he was tired as hell after 5 rounds, his feets are terribly slow and AS ALWAYS he gets hit A LOT. The positive thing about him: You want beautiful punching combinations, just look at his combos, he can land three or four punches in a row and its all just with the left. Chag on the other hand was very prepared for this fight, had a great chance in the 6th, but Povetkin proved he can take a punch that would have floored almost every boxer in the world. Would like to see Chagaev in the scene because he is always a dangerous southpaw puncher and would trouble anyone out there. Povetkin has obviously no business with Klitschko but fighting Haye or Adamek or Chambers would be really good.

    I had it 116-112.

Those uppercuts won him the fight. He couldn't miss with them.

Sadly, all of the Heavyweights who fought on this card tonight, are better than the best American HW.
