Pretty bad ass fight but Giovanni Lorenzo is trying to get in the mix.. He wants to face QUillin which is another good matchup.. Personally, I prefer Lorenzo but whatever...

Quillin KO 5. The future king of the middleweights and a badly needed boxing personality.
Did you see Quillin against McEwan? Have you looked at who he has fought? He seemed to have a lot of potential but is not progressing and has not shown he can compete on the elite level. He looks like the same fighter he was 3 years ago. Right now he looks like he tops out at top ten, not top 5. King of the middleweights goes through Martinez. I am not that high on Lee either but he probably has enough to beat Quillin based on his last performance.

I wasnt too impressed by the McEwan fight either but maybe Quillin was fighting down to the level of competition.. Some fighters are like that..
A fight with Andy Lee will tell us where he's really at.. It's pretty much an evenly matched up fight but I think Kid Chocolate beats him.
How can he fight up to his ability? If he did he'd never get a fight. Andy Lee was losing to Craig McEwan until he knocked him out in the 10th. At no point was McEwan even in the fight with Quillin. Since he's been out at Wildcard he hasn't even broken a sweat in any of his fights. The only people sweating are the other guy's promoters. He has another quality that no one else in that division has - marketability.
I feel that Quillin will dominate Andy Lee.
On the plus side, he has a very good right hand and a good left hook. On the negative side, he pushes his jab and his right moves away from his face when he throws the left, he stands straight up, way too often and he seems to gas easily. As to marketability; he is not viewed as the most marketable middle weight at the WC (Chavez Jr. is). If GBP thought as highly of him as you do, they would have put some live bodies in front of him before now.
It should be a great match, I like both fighters but I'm thinking Quillen probably wins....although Quillen's chin has yet to be tested and Andy Lee has some pop.
It's a great supporting fight to Martinez/Macklin. Would Lorenzo have been a better opponent? Maybe; I'm not sure. Quillin has a big right hand and Lee's chin is suspect. I still believe Quillin is a bit raw for his stage of the game. From past performances, Lee looks a better boxer. How has Quillin fared against southpaws other than McEwan?
So Andy Lee just punked out of a fight... SMH. Ranking out from his own St. Paddy's day.. da fuck I thought Irish guys were down for whatever and whenever?
Kid Choco was gonna tear his ass up anyways.
Yes, I was trying to think of whether that was him until I read your post. He was rocked completely but did shake it off by the next round at latest I think and wen't back to boxing. Hard to take much from that as Miranda was what seems to be the standard Colombian import in that he hit hard as hell but couldn't box for shit and probably didnt' have a chin himself. I don't remember if Quillin was able to stop him offhand or whether it went to the cards though.
So far, Lee did show a lot of heart, nice skills but he did struggle more than what he should have for a top prospect. I believe PEter Quillin takes this one within 10 rounds.
