Full Luis Ortiz vs. Razvan Cojanu fight from yesterday:
- Shortly after defeating Razvan Cojanu, heavyweight Luis Ortiz (29-1, 25 KO) said he wants to face Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder next.
- Eddie Hearn confirmed on talkSPORT this morning that, if the Deontay Wilder fight cannot be made, then Anthony Joshua will rematch Dillian Whyte on April 13th at Wembley Stadium.
Former heavyweight world title challengers Kubrat Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs), 37, of Bulgaria, and Hughie Fury (21-1, 11 KOs), 23, of England, were ordered to meet in a world title eliminator for the right to become one of Anthony Joshua’s mandatory challengers on July 13. However, Pulev promoter Team Sauerland and Fury promoter Mick Hennessy could not make a deal by the IBF-imposed deadline so on Monday the organization scheduled a purse bid for Aug. 9 at the IBF headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey.
