A friend of mine used to do a great version of this song but I have never recorded him playing it, so you will have to take me at my word when I say that he took it somewhere so different that I really should convince him to record it. ( He did a Picking style thing on an Acoustic Martin and sung in his own inimitable style) It has been around since 1870 in numerous incarnations
