Did any of you older members see the Beatles live anywhere?

I know my Dad saw them , dont think my mum did.

She was a huge George Harrison fan and still cant stand McCartney to this day.

I can still remember clearly her and her mate picking me and my best mate up from infants when I was 5 . Both in tears , was just after they heard John Lennon had died, we ran ahead and robbed some flowers from someone's garden to give em to our mums on the way home hahaha

The quality of their song output (especially considering they were only releasing albums for 7 or 8 years) is off the charts. Legendary band, there's nothing you can say about them that hasn't already been said.

You very nearly quoted a line from all you need Is love at the end their

For sure 2 of the best songwriters of all time.

This is cool for me discussing all this because Im at my mums now and I've showed her this thread.

Shes gone into one big time haha... telling me how when her and my dad used to be in the queue at the record shop in Vauxhall Bridge Road near Victoria Underground station in London at 6.30 am on the Monday when a Beatles album was realesed just to reserve a copy as they weren't allowed to be sold until after midday when half of London would sprint over on their lunch break to grab their copy.

Must have been a buzz from clicking a few buttons and nicking tunes for free off soulseek

I side with your mom btw, George Harrison is my favorite Beatle. I really enjoyed a lot of his solo albums.

My mate used to deliver his newspaper to him when he was a kid some 40 years back in Hendley on Thames.

Concert for the people of Bangladesh is probably one of the finest concert films around. All things must pass is one of the better albums. He also put out a fine album before he died. And of course you have the traveling Wilburys
