Certainly I am the walrus is my theme song but to say favorite is difficult. Honey pie is very good, savoy truffle is excellent, rocky raccoon is great. I have the Beatles channel in my car and favorite beatle song can depend on mood. That girl shows how well John and Paul’s voice went together, like it was meant to be. Octopuses garden is so fucking unique. Let it be, when you are dealing with a tough situation, being for the benefit of mr kite is just awesome and within without you is beautiful. @Master George Harrison’s last few albums had some great eastern influence songs, including chanting. I think you would enjoy them. I’d pm you a file but the disks got stolen when I was working in a tough section of a city next to me. Anyway, the Beatles were the most influential band ever. I’d love to go to Liverpool to take that Beatles tour. Maybe I could hook up with Big D, I’m sure he loves the Beatles. Beatles, just another reason I love England you guys sent us some great bands
I liked this one, it's an underrated Beatles song:
It's such a tough one. Obviously I am a sucker for melody, so McCartney does it for me more these days. It used to be the opposite. In no particular order today I would say:
1. Yesterday (timeless melody, could have been written any time)
2. Your Mother Should Know (this one is maybe less popular, but I love it)
3. And your bird can sing (great guitar sounds and harmonies)
4. Here, there and everywhere (McCartney is not human)
5. A day in the life (Just transcendent)
6. Honey Pie (McCartney magic)
7. Nowhere Man (really deep lyrics in this one)
8. Strawberry Fields Forever (lovely verse melody)
9. Eleanor Rigby (Great use of strings)
10. Golden Slumbers (Just a really beautiful piece)
I actually find Help to be a pretty dull album and you can tell they were doing it as a hack. I think the same about Beatles for Sale and a few others. A few good tracks, but not great albums at all. When they took more time and worked at it in the studio the music became profound and magical and those 1966 onwards albums are where it gets truly special for me. I think Pepper is a little bit overrated though. Better songwriting on Revolver and more sporadically on The White Album and Abbey Road.
What's the name of that Beatles song that the lyrics are " you are not dying you are not dying from the beginning from the beginning relax and go down slow Etc"
I think that's my favorite and then after that maybe the Magical Mystery Tour and yellow submarine and Norwegian Wood
Thx, well then Tomorrow Never Knows is my all-time fave Beatles song
