Default Mayweather v GGG - fantasy fight

Fight made for Vegas next May. 154 weight limit and GGG cannot weigh more then 162 morning of fight. Who wins and how?

I think its very tough to call and dont think moving down in weight would have much effect on GGG. In saying that Floyd figures out everybody.

Although he is a small 160, I think draining himself down to 154 would really hurt GGG.

Mayweather wants no part of him at 160. I believe Quillin actually wants to fight him though.

I think GGG can make 154 pretty easy, but I would advise him against agreeing to the 162lb day of the fight stipulation. This would be the best fight possible to me. Floyd's speed and mobility vs GGG's relentless pressure and much bigger punch. I can see Floyd out speeding him and getting the decision behind pot shots and some really uncomfortable moments. I also think that GGG can seriously hurt Floyd with either hand, even if he catches him high on the head. Great fight, but not really fair to ask Floyd to take that monster on.

How is GG a small MW?

    He's 5'10

Funny how ya'll can claim Golovkin is a small MW..... but can't bring yourselves to admit Floyd is a small WW.

    That shit is just weird.

If we were talking the Floyd of 4-5 years ago, I'd take him all day vs Golovkin.

Right now, I don't think Floyd has the legs to escape GGG.

I agree. I think its a close to pick em fight. I think Id back either at odds against but would be pushed to back either at odds on. Maybe slightly favor Floyd as we dont know how GGGs power is at 154 and have never seen him against anyone remotely as good as floyd

If GGG wasn't dead at 154 it would be interesting. Floyd is clearly a welterweight, he never even weighs in above 150 for the light-middle dances. If they fought at a catchweight like 157, Floyd would obviously be the much smaller man so I'd back GGG to muller him.

Yeah GGG is just too big and relentless. You need young legs to keep that guy off you and some decent power to keep him honest. Floyd doesn't have the legs to do it anymore and he certainly doesn't have the power to keep GGG honest.

I think you need to be able to outdo him on distance and footwork to beat him. GGG doesn't waste much energy moving around the ring so if the game plan is stick and move while moving away, there's a good chance that after 5 or 6 rounds, fatigue could set in. I think the key to beating GGG is a combination of smothering his power and sticking and moving. We don't know his inside game at this point. That's why I would probably only favor Ward or Hopkins against him between 160 and 175. Maybe a big puncher at above him like Froch, Kovalev or Stevenson too, but I'm less sure of that. Mayweather has the skill set to smother his power as well, but is he big enough to do it? Make no mistake about it--GGG is a solid sized middleweight. Strong, makes 160 easily, good height and reach. He's a problem for everyone at 160.

I'm glad you said GG is a solid sized middleweight....as opposed to all the other guys claiming he's small MW that should really by at 154..lol.

There isn't a lot at 160....A division where Geale is considered "world class" is a weak division.

Broner got crucified for fighting in a dead LW class.

"Time for him to challenge himself"

"That coward should move up and take some risks"

If Broner is a coward at 24 after moving from 130 to 147...i hate to see what GG is.

Cyclone you seem to be blinded, that GGG would not beat Floyd to be honest Mayweather would
not fight him, remember Floyd hand picks his opponents.
Floyd in his prime would not fight GGG, the thing is he would get sparked and he no's it, far to
dangerous and Floyd is not stupid is he.
You want to be middle Champ, the limit 160lbs not 157 no advantage for the smaller guy all
this BS, it's Middle weight perhaps we should make new weight for Mr Mayweather, I no
we can call it Floyd weight, and the only way you can fight Floyd is you Must come in weight
    drained.

GG isn't stupid either...that's why he's ignoring Andre Ward.

Ward is the reason GG's trainer stopped saying he'll fight anybody from 154 to 168
He singlehandedly shut that shit up.

    Unlike Mayweather

GG has never fought a REIGNING CHAMPION.
Floyd has been doing that since he was 21.
Golovkin still has the VACANT title he got off shot to hell Jr MW Kassim Ouma.

A Golovkin fan looks like a troll trying to insult Floyd's resume.

Mayweather fights bigger guys in higher divisions
    GG....not so much.....no AT ALL.

Golovkin will never dare to be great..it's not in his genes.
    He's 32 and still hasn't fought a bigger man..

Mayweather has been fighting bigger guys since he was 21.
