Ask a handyman or something, your average boxer isn't gonna know an awful lot about strucural strength and wood degeneration and those that could would have to be able to physically examine your wall...
Or you could just try it and find out
what if i just hang it on my door frame? i doubt there is any chance of it collapsing right?
eh, if it's heavy enough, it'll tear the frame down, unless it's a newer (or refurnished) house, otherwise the stud may be to weak to hold it upOriginally Posted by xxaznboii207xx
Wouldn't be so sure about that either, new houses are like lego now days, they're practicly plastic, your gonna battering this bag about the place, no door frame will do, you need to find one of the main Lats or some sturdy brick work to place it in.
what if i buy a wall mount and hang the punching bag to the wall? do you think that will be more stable? or will it rip off a chunk of my wall?
this is how a wall mount looks if you didnt know already http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B0007ZF4V8
From what I hear, those mounts aren't the best.
The best have three bars steming from the mount.
I believe this is an example of one.

does using wall mounts rip off my wall though?
