Default Why not Joshua vs. Price?

I think this would be a better fight for Joshua than Johnson. Price is trying to skate back through the ranks, but really and truly is a spent force at this time...

I wouldn't totally write Price off yet. A few more wins and he'll look an attractive opponent, at the least, for all the big names out there.

Doubt anyone in world boxing hits harder than him.

But he has not shown he can sustain a hard fight. Wilder has now shown he can sustain a hard fight. David lost his hard fight. Lost it rather miserably on both occasions. I don't think much else can be there unless something has changed with him.

Price will turn to being a gate keeper, sad as that sounds. There is just no room here with guys in at least the top 8 or 5 slots being as hard nosed as they are.

Do you see Price chinning or ko-ing a Stiverne, Wilder, Wlad, Pulev, Solis, Jennings, Arreola, Ortiz, Perez or even Spilzka? Or even Scott, Glazkov, Fury or Chisora?? Haye? Do you?? Wach, Povetkin, etc...??

He is capable of knocking out any of them.

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if he ironed out any of those fighters in the first round.

I don't believe he has the stamina, punch resistance or smarts (can't think of better word) to be a dominate champion but he is dangerous against anyone, even if only for three rounds.

He's lost to one cagey veteran (the rematch should have never happened). He's coming back slowly but shouldn't be written off yet. As I said - a couple of more W's on his record and he will get a BIG fight.

I cant think of another instance of what happened to Price. Plenty of prospects have been chinned out but then to go straight back in and basically have a meltdown is madness.

He made the rookie mistake of trying to beat Thompson rather than just win.

Because Price needs to reestablish himself as a somebody in the division. I personally don't think he is all that bad because of 2 losses to Tony Thompson who is a very tough fighter to beat, but Price's confidence needs a bigger boost before getting another big fight.

Price is beatable but he hits so hard , he will find it hard to get matchups.
No way will they risk Joshua against Price.

Well Price is fighting on the Abraham/Smith undercard on Saturday so it will be interesting to see if he can bounce back. Signing with the Sauerlands away from the glare and expectations of the next British Heavyweight hope bandwagon was a good start in the right direction.

Nope. Does not have the skills to get in on Wilder, Wlad, Solis, Haye, Jennings or Perez. And he won't be able to outbox Glazkov, Fury size for size.

He may touch Chisora, Wach, Povetkin, Pulev, Stiverne and Ortiz but they would take it. So too Arreola even if wobbled.

Scott and Spilzka may go down, but Scott would lose heart and Spilzka may just tire out and give up on himself. But that is not a certainty.

Everybody seems to think that after losing twice to Thompson , that Price was Mentally scarred. I've seen him interviewed plenty since then and I don't see it myself. I actually think the Thread should read Why not Fury vs. Price. Price would love some of that, and to be honest , the only thing Fury has an edge on him is probably stamina. I'm not saying Price wins, but I think it's a "55-45" fight.

Joshua needs time before jumping in with Price who is dangerous.

I think Chisora should be before he fights Price.

Derric Rossy would be a good fighter for either guy to beat up on.
