I would be more suspect of the hospital care and treatment. The fight was in the Philippines Davao City and the article on RingTV says he died after 5 days in the hospital. Makati Med is ok ish if they transfered him, but 'd guess they just gave him steroids to try and reduce the swelling and clear the clot rather than operate.
