Why has Danny performed so poorly in every fight since the Lucas fight.

I think his performance dropped off with the Herrera fight. That fight showed that a fast, clever boxer/puncher gives Garcia fits.
Peterson wins a rematch in my opinion. He came close last night, even though his fight plan was wrong.

I really think he may benefit from a new trainer. I think his father did a good job getting him where he is but he needs a fresh approach. If his opponents aren't fighting a certain way he seems lost

Peterson showed how slick he could be, which judges usually dislike. It was a calculated tactic to wear down Garcia which backfired and lost him the fight in the end.
He did wear down Garcia....you and those judges need glasses.
Yes, he did wear Garcia down, but when he was showing us that great mobility he was also losing rounds. Most judges don't give rounds to fighters who don't throw punches.
The first half was Garcia's, the second half was Peterson's, of course many of those rounds were close and could have gone either way. That's how you wind up with a close fight and a decision that some fans don't like.
When Peterson was running he was losing, when he was coming forward (engaging) he was winning. It's a shame really, because he looked like he had enough gas in the tank to fight aggressively all nite long. Who do you think came up with that fight plan?
By the way, I do wear glasses and I had them on. Dude, I was seeing good, I was seeing real good! Lol
That isn't how rounds are supposed to be scored. What about ring generalship? Peterson chose how and when that fight was fought all fight long. What about clean punching? Peterson landed the clean punches all night long. If a guy runs but he controls the fight and lands the clean punches he wins the rounds.

I don't think it does him much good. He is slow and stiff. Slow one punch fighters don't usually get far. He's done well with what he has by sticking to a gameplan(which you have to credit the corner for) and superb timing. But if he doesn't time a guy he struggles. That's why Peterson came in with a plan to use multiple attacks. If you don't Garcia will time you eventually.

I agree. IMO he is an overachiever. Gone farther than his skillset should've taken him. BUT!! I am really surprised he was backing away in the last round & not willing to go in the phone booth & trade. I think Danny himself calls what he did in round 12 as: (running).
