Oscar Negrete vs Luis Maldonodo
Negrete 3-0 Maldonado is getting beat up.
Negrete wins technical decision in 5th. Bad cut above eye due to accidental head butt.
De La Hoya is improving. Has learned to duck, nice sharp hands.
De La Hoya in with Robles and throwing some great right hands against a lefty.
De La Hoya almost got Robles out of there in the first.
He looks more flat footed. Bit sluggish in 4th but like the sneaky right off spin
Robles is getting his butt kicked and giving De La Hoya a lot of pressure. A good fight for De La Hoya because Robles will not stop fighting.
De La Hoya 6-0
Who is training DLH?
De La Hoya wins every round, but was working real hard the last two rounds.
Strange fight between Avila and Ruiz.
Avila wins first six rounds, but in my opinion seems to be doing just enough to win. Wins the 7th and 8th with hurt right hand. Fights the 9th and 10th with only his left but those two are his best rounds. He did not throw a right hand in the last two rounds.
Strange because he fought better one handed. If he had used his left like that from round one he could gotten rid of Ruiz before six.
Avila hurt both hands in his last fight, so fragile hands are a serious problem he has to solve.

The fragile hands explain Avila's inconsistent fighting, now that I've thought about it. I hope they can do something about his hands, he looks very good when he lets them go.
