Default Road Warriors: Boxers who won a world title fighting in their opponent's home country

I have plenty of respect for courageous road warriors who win or defend a world title fighting in their opponent's home country.

Sergey Kovalev (the WBO from Cleverly in the UK, then the IBF and WBA from Hopkins in the USA)

James DeGale (IBF in the USA against the American boxer, Dirrell)

Terence Crawford (in the UK against the British boxer Burns)

Kell Brook (in the USA against Porter)

Who are some of the others?

Lennox vs Holyfield, and the rematch vs Rahman.

But they are a bit cheeky as Len did a lot of his fighting in the US of course.

I don't think winning in the US counts as on the road like other countries. The US just isn't as nationalistic about boxing as other countries because it is a country of immigrants. Italian Americans think they're Italian, Irish Americans think they're Irish, Armenian Americans....

And with so many foreign fighters setting up here for most of their careers we just don't get attached to nationality. If you asked 20 american fight fans to list their top 3 favorite fighters or even top 5 I bet the great majority or nearly all listed would be foreigners like Morales or GGG or Tito or or or. Look at the GGG fight in California, when Ward was mentioned the crowd booed. In Wards home state nationality was irrelevant compared to action. Or look at Floyds home city being overun by Pac and Hatton. We just don't care.

Nino was probably the only middle he ever fought near their prime save Bennie and one of the only times he left Argentina. And who is that chick in the pic? Is that his wife that he beat half to death and threw off the balcony or one of the other two he just beat half to death?

I guess the same region where Lennox was taught how to box and won a gold medal for.

    That would be,

    Susana Giminez

    Body Rating........ A+
    Face Rating......... B

Susana was the most popular Television Commerical Star in Argentina during the late-1960's
    and early-1970's.

Famous for being the { SHOCK ! } soaped up girl in the shower, doing the Argentinian Television Commercials
    for the soap 'Kadum'.

Yes, Carlos 'lumped' her up as well.

Susana went on to become Argentina's most favorite Talk Show Host. She's worth 'many' Millions right now.
