Default Pacquiao set to retire after one more fight

Manny Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum says the Filipino boxer is ready to hang up his gloves after one more fight in 2016 and then make the switch to being a full-time politician.
Arum told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday night that the 36-year-old Pacquiao wanted to get on with his political career and run for the Senate in the Philippines.
"I believe he'll take one more fight, then run for the Senate in the Philippines," Arum told the newspaper in a telephone interview from China.
"He could fight twice more, I guess, but it sets up better for him to fight, then run."
Pacquiao lost a unanimous decision to Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas four months ago in a bout the Filipino fought with a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. Pacquiao then underwent surgery after the Mayweather fight which generated a record 4.4 million pay-per-view buys.

Arum told the Times it was unlikely Pacquiao and Mayweather could fight again.
"From what I've heard, Mayweather is retiring," Arum said. "I guess they could fight again, but many things would have to happen."
Mayweather has said his next fight against Andre Berto on September 12 in Las Vegas will be his last, but few are taking him seriously after making the same claim about several of his most recent title fights.

Either he's fighting once more because Arums wants to or because he's spent too much on his fellow countrymen.

Pac still beats the snot outta flat-footed non-counter punchers, vets or young. If he leaves on a loss to Floyd- he will never come close to that kinda money. And he knows he wasn't beaten: he simply lost on points, no shame in that.

We will be able to tell if it's 1 or 2 by the opponent. If it is Crawford then Bob is going for a passing of the torch. If it is an easy touch he will fight at least twice more. I think it also depends on the numbers generated versus his financial demands. If he's still making Bob big money Bob will not let him walk away.

Bob and Manny show should retire after the robbery they pulled against the boxing fans May 2015.

The thieves will not turn down the money offered for a return.

Pac should fight one more time at least.... to get the bad taste out of people's mouths over the Floyd fight.
It should be a good, credible opponent.
BUT....... he should go nowhere near Floyd.
