Yeah it's ever so much better when one fighter acts like a complete twat

I like it when fighters respect each other, I like it when boxers hate each other, but I do not like the phony bullshit some boxers do just to try to hype a fight...the all sizzle no steak guys SUCK
Thats why you will never be a boxing promoter.

If you want to sell a fight would you rather have Tyson Fury in press conferences or dull boring Wladimir Klitschko?

When is the last time one of Klitschkos fights have been on the front page of any mainstream papers?

Personalities sell. Pro boxing is a business, its like you have no idea about business or even boxing. Just look at the Lee and Saunders fight as an example. Its not selling amd how many threads are active about it here?
And you, my furry friend will never be a bookmaker, but hey ho!

Who's trying to be a promoter?

Wlad doesn't need help selling fights dude he fought Jean Marc Mormek in front of 50,000 people. He fought Alex Leapai in front of a large crowd too. Why would he need some jackass like Tyson Fury to sell a fight?

Go watch wrestling, that's what you want.....you want Wrestling Promos...why? Because you don't understand boxing, which is probably why you support a guy who lost to John McDermott everywhere but the cards.

I mean I understand Muhammad Ali chasing Sonny Liston down and harassing him for a fight because there was the idea that due to his ties to The Nation of Islam that Ali was being frozen out of a title shot. I understand Shannon Briggs trying to get a title shot by harassing Wladimir Klitschko, because Shannon is old, probably very low on money, and doesn't have the time or skill to EARN a title shot so he's trying to harass his way into one....it's SAD....pathetic.

What I don't understand is faux hostility and stupid gimmicks that cheapen the atmosphere of a big fight. These men are going to eventually punch each other in the face repeatedly.....why the Batman costume? What does that accomplish other than making people wonder if Tyson Fury is a retard?

Respect between fighters doesn't always make for boring fights....look at Gatti-Ward, they had great respect for each other and had some brilliant fights together.

So again, what does it accomplish? Asses in seats? The asses were already going to be in the seats man because like it or not people DO enjoy watching Wlad fight, he's been packing arenas as a main eventer for over a decade....Tyson Fury isn't adding anything by running his mouth.

I wanted to know if El Kabbage had anything to base his opinions on.

How many bouts did you have? What was your business?

It's not true to say Fury's antics offer nothing. Yes Wlad sells 50,000 tickets in Germany but that is not the only market. This fight is SKY PPV in Britain. There's a reason why K2 promotions sold the TV rights to Sky PPV in the UK, because Fury will bring a whole load of extra dough to them because of his antics. Likewise HBO have bought the fight for America (they don't buy every Wlad fight).

Fury being a big nutter, with a big mouth and turning up to press conferences in batman costumes is the main reason why Wlad is facing him. It's absolute gold for promoters and TV companies.

I was a sparring partner for several professionals

    Ok.....

Someone whos never had a bout in there life would be amazingly beneficial as a sparring partner for a professional

If you have ever stepped foot in a ring (I doubt it by the way you try to pass off not having any bouts ever in your entire life as you being a boxer) with any level of boxer you werent their sparring partner, they were letting you get some time in the ring.

Now someone whos never boxed may eat that crap up

Don't know where you're from but sparring partners are hard to come by in my neck of the woods especially heavyweights. There being no amateur bouts for me to have although I was licensed which was a waste of time. So I just had my bouts in the gym with the pros...no world beaters obviously but decent enough boxers and I am not saying I was better than them at all.

Your question was "have you boxed" my answer was "I have". Now you don't want to count what I did as boxing but I know what I did, I know how the sparring sessions went and I know who I sparred.

But you know best....you asked the question, why?
