Not a big money fight.

To be fair, Povetkin may be a quality fighter but he only has a curiosity value for fight fans as in what will Wilder do against him rather than actually being fans of Povetkin or Wilder.

Its interesting that Al decided not to cough up a little scratch to help Lou out. Anywho perhaps he never had to which would make him smart instead of having money problems. The Povetkin team might even want it in the States anyway. After all is said and done it would not surprise me to see this fight end up in New York should it actually materialize.

Watch the Wlad fight and try to ignore the leaning and holding. Inbetween that Povetkin has no head or upper body movement.

Because Povetkin has fast hands, a decent chin, and can REALLY box and fight and appears to have turned himself into a KO artist post-Wlad.

No one wants to fight Povetkin now. Not even Wlad in a rematch!

I think it is the reluctance of Wilder more than how good we think Povetkin is for the critical posts about Wilder. I think Wilder beats Povetkin, even if it is held in Russia.

Wilder has the power to spark anyone. He also showed against Stiverne that he had the ability to box and move. The possibility is there for Wilder to win. I just think Povetkin is the sturdier of the two and will get to Wilder eventually.

Should Wilder win however there will be no excuses from me. He hopefully will have earned the victory and continued to develop.

If this fight actually does end up in Russia Wilder will have already lost the first three rounds before the opening bell . Having an actual threat finally in front of him may very well force Wilder to play seek and destroy. Then again it may see him come in flailing and yelling booooommmmb squad only to get clipped and zippered for a 10 count himself.
