Default Showtime Fight Night! Provodnikov vs Molina Jr plus some

Nice couple of cards this weekend with can't miss carnage here and HBO running one hour later. The main events should miss each other. Classic similar style clash but for all of the wars, Provodnikov feels much fresher of the two with short hook inside activity. Molina looked like a stale resigned fighter against Broner and have no idea where his head is at. Power you don't see coming never in doubt and frankly Molina in top form a 'better boxer' than Provo but this has work rate and stoppage by bust up written all over it for Provo. Hope both have a quality cutman and duct tape.

Solid co(?)main with Demetrius Andrade 22-0 fighting one-shot brick layer Willie Nelson 25-2-1. As an eliminator for a shot at a Charlo brother. Inactivity and a premature diva streak run in Andrade, not many proclaim they beat all in the division with a straight face after walking out on a made fight with current champion but this is actually step up for Andrade looking to hop off the couch and jump start division. When Nelson tries to box his height he gets in trouble and the chin crumbles but he will test the beard of BooBoo.

Showextreme kicks off two hrs earlier with heavyweights Andrey Fedosov vs gigantic Mario Heredia and John Thompson vs Willie Monroe Jr lacy. Too many words for such a long week

Provo will stop Molina. I think Molina is about done and will try to brawl then give up quickly.

Forgot about this one completely. Could be a war, or maybe Molina gets steamrolled. Haven't seen either one since what were pretty bad losses for each.

Andrade vs Nelson is a more interesting/relevant fight to me, I hope Andrade looks good, he has a great shot against either Charlo based on his jab alone imo.

Feel the same on Andrade. Though not a big fan he'd only add to some top talents. That jab has potential to be one of the better in the sport when it is on!

Showextreme starting now with zero audio No worries, boxing is on. Fedosov should demolish this poor fella. On the smallish side for heavy but very solid body puncher

Zero build or mention here of Lomachenko vs Martinez later tonight? That's actually very surprising

For his size at 280 Heredia has some very busy hands early, arguably won first maybe second. Fedosov waits until the 3rd to get busy with left hooks and drops Heredia in a heap!

Fedosov working his body beginning 4th, Heredia legs are loose and hands dropping as he bounces around.

Heredia dropped again in 4th. Same left hook. He lands it every single time. Well...dropped again 5th! His corner says he needs Vaseline on his eyes. How about a helmet!!!

big boy has some pluck though, stays in front landing some fast shots. There he goes again, wow. Down in 6th and ref finally waves it off. Fedosov will get an opportunity in division at some point.

Last time we saw Willie Monroe Jr Golovkin was letting him land free shots before reality set in. He and John Thompson at the bell. Think matter of time before Thompson walks into something ugly.

Tons of posing and waiting in 2nd by both. Monroe simply waiting to counter and drops Thompson with a cuffing left hook around the neck Thompson not sure what to do here, just being swatted by fast counters.

way too much posturing from Monroe jr for me. Skilled, quick but lacking something

In 5th Thompson throws punches like a guy flying over the handlebars of his bicycle. bit of a spaz but he's trying. Monroe jr in full control

Monroe drops him hard...6 inch stabbing jab!..and they exchange end of 5th! Fight finally started

Thompson wins 6th and might edge dismal 7th. Monroe jr does absolutely nothing that round except break in his shoes.

Giving 8th to Thompson also but you can count combined punches landed on two hands. Monroe jr cut by head butt?

Monroe jr will go down as having peaked with Golovkin fight and payday. It's over

    96-93 95-93 99-89 () all for Monroe jr. Time for a drink.

Monroe didn't impress me during the last half. Wonder what he was thinking?
