Santa Cruz people want it in Vegas or California. Haymon will want it in America on at primetime. McGuigan had better have got it in the contract that the location of any rematch something the winner decides.
IF there is a rematch, I don't think Frampton will mind that much if it's in the States. But don't forget Selby is also advised by Haymon, so ultimately its up to Haymon who fights who. That's why he pays the dough, and the truth is Haymon is building something Stateside.
what is haymond? promoter or adviser or manager or both or what?
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
I might be wrong, but to try to simplify this , you cannot be a Manager/Adviser AND a Promoter. you have to be one or the other. He has deals in place with American TV Station(s) to provide fighters and then works with a promoter. But the fighters only fight where he advises them to fight because I think he looks after them financially , not just when they fight. With his own Wealth and business nous and with the backing of the TV company , he can do that.
This is why Eddie Hearn has little digs at Frampton, Degale , Selby, because they were all with Matchroom at one time, but now they only fight on Matchroom promotions when Haymon SAYS they can. So when thy fight in the States, Hearn doesn't make anything out of it.
But Hearn does try to keep sweet with Haymon in the hope that he can get some of them fight over here.
Khan used to be with Haymon, but I believe he self manages and self promotes now, and that's probably why he is such a fucking circus act and a joke. Same can probably be said of Eubank.
If I've got that wrong, I'm sure one of our transatlantic friends will point this out.
so Selby isn't a part of the matchroom stable anymore?
for some reason I thought that he was but matchroom struck some kind of deal with haymond to get him on in america
Officially the only saddo who has had a girlfriend
I don't think Matchroom Struck the deal with Haymon, I think Selby did. If you think about it. if he was still with Matchroom, they would be building shows around him as a World Champion , but the only time you hear Hearn mention him is to fight Warrington in Leeds! Now if Hearn had him tied in, he wouldn't be calling him out to fight in a Challenger's back yard?
The problem with close fights is if the rounds could go either way but the judges favor that style more that guy gets the round. I see it when people post there scores on here all the time like they all have the same score but gave different rounds to that fighter i mean the way to score pretty open.
