IBF champion Ricky Hatton will reportedly vacate his IBF title, however that is not official as of now. Although it has been announced that Hatton will fight WBA welterweight champion Luis Collazo next, that fight has not been signed yet on Hatton's end. Under IBF rules, Ricky can still request an exception from the IBF, and if approved, still do the fight with Collazo. In any event, Hatton remains the IBF champion as of this moment.

If Hatton relinquishes the belt as expected, Colombian knockout artist Juan Urango is healed from an injury to his left hand, back in the gym, and ready for his long-awaited shot at the IBF junior welterweight championship against top available contender Naoufel Ben Rabah. "My hand is 100 percent and I'm looking forward to knocking people out with it," said Urango, 16-0-1 with 13 KOs. "The first one on my hit list is Naoufel Ben Rabah, and I'm looking forward to becoming a world champion." Warriors Boxing Promotions is eager to make the fight as soon as possible. "We're ready, willing, and able to put on this championship bout between Juan Urango and Ben Rabah," said Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing Promotions. "I'm letting the IBF know that we are prepared to begin negotiations immediately, and we are looking forward to Juan Urango becoming the new junior welterweight champion of the world."

Awesome! I like Urango...he's fun to watch, got a wack ass defense, & tons of power...makes for an exciting up & comer.

Not sure about Rabah though...honestly...I have never seen him in the ring.
